I just checked my credit report and they have a hard inquiry on there. I have never even heard of these people I have never inquired about any service and have no idea what they think they are doing. How can they do this without any consent or you even wanting to be a customer. I have never called written or received anything in the mail. When I agreed to try this company's high speed internet I was told that I would not have any problem streaming Netflix movies and that I had 30 days to cancel if I did not like the service. I called 3 times to cancel, each time, told to try different things, like upgrade to more expensive service, using a download manager software, etc. Each time I called I was told the trial period would be extended if I tried their suggestions. I have had trouble from the beginning.First the installer sold me a router that later found out I didn"t need. Now the wireless doesn"t work from room to room with total distance of 25 feet,the 100 dollar router installer sold me,all the equipment was suppose to be free. WE (my family) had Hughes install a dish and related hardware so we could receive top notch high speed internet. We were supposed to be capable of receiving 15gb and the most we ever received was less than 1 gig. We first called to complain about the less than professional installation and was told they could nothing about it....after 4 months of not receiving what we were sold, we were told that we could not get out from under our 24 month... I sign up for Hughs about a week and half ago I have lost my phone service due to the tech that installed it. He installed it in my wash room letting me to believe that it was already hooked up to the phone line he drilled a hole in the middle of my siding of the house. The installer came out to install the dish for my wireless internet...after all, it's 2016 now, then 2015. The first thing we established was he was going to install a dish on my roof. I told him I had problems with my gutter helmet so be careful around it. So what does the installer do? He goes out and drills 2 holes in my gutter helmet when he had more room on my roof. I have enough problems with other sections of my gutter helmet. no problems... Read more

Hughes Net submitted a credit report on me WITHOUT my consent. When a company/someone does a "hard inquiry" on your credit it has a negative effect on your credit score. Credit reporting company claims they can do this. I don't see how as I never authorized it, I never signed up with Hughes Net, I have had no correspondence with them, nothing. They keep sending me offers to sign up with them but I have NOT accepted their offers in any way,... Read more

I was in the hospital for 1 days for testing on my heart. I spent the next day in bed. The day before I asked what my data usage was, I was told 2.74 GB. When I got home, I called and checked again, and guess what? I used about 13 GB!!!! I'm filing complaint with the State Attorney General. Terrible service. Deceptive practices. Poor connectivity. They charged me $500 for disconnecting after 1 month of poor service. Add comment

I signed up for Hughesnet 2 years ago and was told that their service would run at up to 5 mbps. I did speed checks periodically and never got over 1 mbps download and never over .25 mbps upload. These are dial up speeds! I complained by calling but they never helped and in fact never even documented my complaints. On top of that Hughesnet was very expensive. I finally got tired of this terrible service, speed and expensive cost and canceled.... Read more
