I have had HughesNet for about 6 months or so, and I have called them several times. First they were blaming my computer for the slow internet. I got a brand new computer, and it is still terribly slow. High speed internet... HAH!!! Best joke I have heard in my lifetime!! My 4G mobile hotspot is faster than their satellite internet. They are the worst. Will make you jump though hoops to do their tests when your speed is as slow as a snail just to tell you there is not a problem. We did our own speed test and they rated a D-. They do not sent you a paper bill and we realized 3 months after the fact that they had upped our bill by $30 without telling us. The poorest service I have ever experienced. i live in dunnellon fla your service is the worst ive ever had, blackmailing people to buy extra bytes, called one time, was told my best veiwing time as 2am to 8am, are you up at that time? you are nothing but extortionist .And im sure u dont give a s@#t have a conscience. some of us that actually work, like to home to tv, not loading, retreiving, etc you suck

I have been on the phone with"George" who could hardly speak English, about issues with this service. Several times he tried to redirect me to dell. The issue isn't a dell issue, it's an internet issue. I have fought with tech support for hours trying to get this fixed. We've had HughesNet at my dad's for a long time, and I'm the only one in the home (besides my younger brother) who is actually active on the internet a lot. Well, recently we lost the ability to access websites with a "https" in the url. This mean that sites such as facebook were inaccessible for long periods of time. HughesNet Satellite is a total rip off. I have their internet/home phone service and I've experienced everything others on this site have complained about. There are other websites people have filed complaints on and the complaints are in the thousands if not more. Complaining to HughesNet is a total effort in futility. I just checked my credit report and they have a hard inquiry on there. I have never even heard of these people I have never inquired about any service and have no idea what they think they are doing. How can they do this without any consent or you even wanting to be a customer. I have never called written or received anything in the mail. When I agreed to try this company's high speed internet I was told that I would not have any problem streaming Netflix movies and that I had 30 days to cancel if I did not like the service. I called 3 times to cancel, each time, told to try different things, like upgrade to more expensive service, using a download manager software, etc. Each time I called I was told the trial period would be extended if I tried their suggestions. I have had trouble from the beginning.First the installer sold me a router that later found out I didn"t need. Now the wireless doesn"t work from room to room with total distance of 25 feet,the 100 dollar router installer sold me,all the equipment was suppose to be free.
